Iran Ambassador met UAE minister of climate change & Environment

 H.E Mr. Reza Aameri, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Arab Emirates, met and held discussions with H.E Ms. Maryam Almheiri, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the United Arab Emirates.

During this meeting, the two parties discussed and examined areas of common cooperation between the two countries in the field of the environment and ways to expand it. Both sides emphasized the importance of neighborly relations between Iran and the UAE and the necessity of continuous consultation on solving environmental issues in the region.

Furthermore, they highlighted the significance of environmental matters in maintaining security and developing the relations between the two countries, referencing the agreements and discussions held during the international conference on combating dust and sandstorms, which took place last month in Tehran with the participation of a UAE delegation.

In this meeting, while expressing satisfaction with the growing trend of relations between Iran and the UAE, they emphasized the need for increased exchanges of delegations and meetings of relevant authorities from both countries in the field of the environment to promote bilateral cooperation.
