Ceremony for the 46th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution in the United Arab Emirates

The ceremony commemorating the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was held on Thursday evening

The ceremony commemorating the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was held on Thursday evening, February 7, 2024, at the Alborz Hall of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Abu Dhabi.The event was attended by a wide range of Emirati guests, including several ambassadors, diplomats, and military attaches residing in Abu Dhabi, members of Iranian institutions in the UAE, as well as media representatives, businesspeople, doctors, engineers, and a number of Iranian expatriates living in the UAE. 

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended as a special guest, along with Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Seyyed Ali Al Hashemi, legal and religious advisor to the President of the UAE, Saif Al Zaabi, the UAE ambassador to Tehran, Sultan Al Nuaimi, head of the Strategic Studies Center, and other guests from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In his speech, Reza Amiri, the Iranian ambassador to the UAE, highlighted the proud journey of the great Iranian nation over the past 46 years since the revolution’s victory. He mentioned the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields despite the challenges and pressures of sanctions. He also described the bilateral relations between Iran and the UAE as a growing trend, based on statistics of trade relations and political exchanges between the two countries. 

On the sidelines of the ceremony, an exhibition of Iranian handicrafts and exquisite carpets was held, which was well received by the guests.
